Hi! My name is Boss. Actually my name was Boz but when my little human brother said my name, it sounded like Boss. My mom was an American Bulldog and my dad was a Dogo Argentina. A lot of people think I'm a Pit Bull and that's just fine with me. My little Sister is and I used to have another sister that was as well. I have a very happy life now even though it started a bit rough.
When I was just a little puppy, my people didn't take me to the vet to get my puppy shots. I ended up with parvo, a very serious virus. They took me to the puppy hospital because I was so sick. When they found out what was wrong and the cost to try to save me, they made a loving decision to give me up. This meant the hospital would treat me at their expense and try to get some of the money returned through donations. A wonderful dog rescue stepped in and decided to fight for me. While I was in the hospital, one of the nice ladies found a potential home for me and someone that was willing to pay my vet bills. As soon as I was strong enough to leave the hospital, the nice lady from the rescue took me to a house to meet the humans paid my bills. I was very weak and very tired but I wanted to show them I loved them for helping me. They also had a beautiful black Pit Bull named Miss Mia. She new I was not well and instantly started to protect me and take care of me. I was less than 40 pounds, all legs, feet and ears! You could see all of my ribs.
I spent the next few years playing with my sister. She made me big and strong! Unfortunately, Miss Mia got sick and I had to say goodbye to here when I was only 4 yrs old. I was very sad. But just like it was meant to be, I was introduced to a new brother, Dodger. We became very good friends!
I will be 9 yrs old in March. My favorite things are snuggling in a blanket with my Momma, laying in front of the wood burner in the cold winter and going for walks!! Oh boy, do I love my walks!!
